Granola/Snack Mix: A Mix of Me
This lesson focuses on creating a personal granola or snack mix recipe to help students explore their food preferences and express themselves through writing. Students will learn how food connects to their identity, write an opinion piece on their unique snack mix, and share their creations with peers. The lesson integrates self-awareness, creative writing, and food education, while encouraging students to explore sensory details, diversity, and respectful communication about likes and dislikes.
