Tea and the Trouble in Boston
Students will evaluate the economic causes and effects of England’s tax policies on the colonies by:
– understanding that boycotts are an economic motivator which create solutions to local problems
– creating their own tea and logo to support their boycott.
What Pilot Light Teachers are saying:
“We focused mainly on the students making a tea that represents themselves, so picking ingredients that connect to who they are as present-day people, as well as connecting to the past for what patriots would want. We use it every year in our American Revolution unit.” – Social Studies teacher
