Fish and the Ecosystem: A World Without Fish
Students will be able to identify the different types of food chains in the ocean and understand the role that varying types of fish (including bycatch) play in humans’ lives and the ocean’s ecosystem.
What Pilot Light Teachers are saying:
“Students read a variety of articles about overfishing and the importance fish have on humans and our environment. We also discussed the vocabulary in the lesson provided and used a video that discussed trash fish. We made a fish stew using tilapia and a variety of other ingredients.” – 5th and 6th grade English Language Arts teacher
