AgEd and Advocacy Lesson 7: Student Advocacy Project
Through engaging activities and discussions, students explore various agricultural issues such as water usage, soil health, food waste, and pollinator decline. They research these issues using provided resources and discuss potential solutions to address the challenges. Working in small groups, students choose a specific agriculture-related issue they are passionate about advocating for. They create persuasive presentations to raise awareness about their chosen topic and its significance in their community. The presentations culminate in an advocacy showcase where each group presents their findings and proposals, aiming to inspire positive change and promote sustainable farming practices among their peers and the wider school community.
