Students will research neighborhoods in their city and create a signature pizza representing a neighborhood/area of their choice.
Students will learn more about how human activity contributes to climate change by creating a dish intended to reduce the amount of carbon released into the atmosphere.
Students will understand how food can be preserved by learning how the Colonists continued to meet their fundamental need for food during the winter.
Students will be able to identify the varying types of food chains in the ocean and understand the role that fish play in humans’ lives and the ocean’s ecosystem.
Students will better understand how to compare and contrast (two or more items in a unit of study) by comparing and contrasting different grains used around the world and then use this information to select grains to make a loaf of bread.
